This rare trillium grandiflorum plena (aka snow bunting/wake robin) is similar in features to a gardenia but bares no fragrance. Flowers develop a pink tinge as they mature.
 
Native to North America, it has become increasingly difficult to source in the New York State area due to its volatile nature.
 
Following 40 years of careful cultivation, Jamie Urquhart finally has some precious stock to share to New Zealand customers.
